Mini LED PCB

Mini LED, known as sub-millimeter light-emitting diode, refers to LEDs with grain size of about 100 microns. High dynamic range (HDR) is one of the important features for next generation displays. Pixel level dimming described as micro-LED technology which will reach to HDR, requires high peak brightness and excellent dark state of the display system simultaneously. However, there are still some technological bottlenecks that make micro-LED difficult to be quickly commercialized. Mini-LED technology has much smaller size of LED, which means it can divide more dimming blocks in a certain size LED backlight. LED manufacturers have turned to mini-LED as a temporary solution.

The mini-LED with chip sizes ranging from 100 to 200μm has higher yield rate and can achieve high-curved backlight form with a flexible substrate. The realized local diming can greatly improve the contrast ratio at relatively low energy consumption.
